How To Use Telemedicine

As a precautionary measure to keep our patients safe, effective Monday April 6, 2020, we have moved all office visits to telemedicine. Our staff will be working with you through this transition.

If you already have a scheduled appointment, we will call you and ask if you prefer a telemedicine appointment via FaceTime for iPhone/Apple users, or via the pMD app on either Android devices or iPhones.

There will be NO CHANGE in lab appointments except for the Laurens/Clinton office. Lauren/Clinton Lab appointments will be rescheduled at either Laurens County Medical Center or Hillcrest Hospital.

If you have any questions please call (864) 977-8167.

The Difference Between Telemedicine and Telehealth

Telemedicine
Telemedicine services involve the delivery of clinical medicine via real-time telecommunications such as telephone, the internet, or other communications networks or devices that do not involve in person direct patient contact.

Telehealth
Telehealth is broader than telemedicine and takes in all health care services that are provided via live, interactive audio and visual transmissions of a physician-patient encounter. These health care services include non-clinical services, such as provider training, administrative meetings and continuing medical education; in addition to clinical services. Telehealth may be provided via real-time telecommunications or transmitted by store-and- forward technology.

  2. Once the application is downloaded, tap to open. You will be prompted to enter your cell phone number.
